Welcome to blackpages CAFE, a charming haven nestled on the 11th floor of Building C, No. 161, Section 3, Sanmin Rd, in the vibrant heart of Taichung City, Taiwan. This delightful cafe, seamlessly integrated into the Eslite Bookstore, offers an exceptional environment for those seeking a moment of peace amid the city’s hustle and bustle.

As you enter blackpages CAFE, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages relaxation and conversation. The decor combines modern minimalism with comfortable seating, making it an ideal spot for a quiet afternoon spent with a good book or catching up with friends. The sounds around you blend harmoniously—soft chatter from fellow patrons and the occasional rustling of pages from nearby readers, creating an ambiance perfect for unwinding.

Though the menu is currently limited to beverages and delectable pastry items, the offerings are crafted to satisfy a range of tastes. Customers rave about the smooth, well-balanced American coffee, described as mild yet rich in flavor, available for a reasonable price of $90 NTD. If you're in the mood for something sweet to accompany your drink, try the mouthwatering lemon tart, an absolute delight. The praise for blackpages’ lightly roasted coffee shines through in reviews, with one customer proclaiming it “超好喝” (super delicious)! Each sip promises a burst of flavor, expertly balanced to enhance your cafe experience.

Despite its petite size, the cafe's layout fosters a sense of community while maintaining a cozy atmosphere. The absence of a time limit for enjoying your drink allows you to linger, making it the perfect retreat after exploring the treasures of Eslite Bookstore. As Jean Huang noted in her review, the requirement of just one beverage to enter creates a casual and inviting experience. You can grab three books to read and savor your drink in a tranquil corner, providing an experience that goes beyond just sipping coffee.

Patrons like Nicole W.W. Wang appreciate the uniqueness of blackpages, especially when looking for a quiet place to recharge. While the second floor of the nearby shopping area can get quite crowded, blackpages offers a welcoming ambiance without the hustle. Although noted for needing a bit of improvement in seating arrangement, the friendly service and delicious offerings more than make up for it.

Whether you’re coming to escape the bustling shopping scene or simply want to enjoy a moment of respite with quality coffee and pastries, blackpages CAFE should be at the top of your list when in Taichung. Experience the unique blend of literature and leisure at this delightful establishment, where every visit can be as refreshing as the coffee they serve.
